Wrexham Burger Challenge

The Great Pontfadog Oak Cygneture Burger got a big thumbs up this week from Destination Wrexham’s Jo Bickerton who visited to taste test Max’s special burger creation as part of  Destination Wrexham’s #WrexhamBurger Challenge. The initiative in association with Visit Wales has been developed to showcase great NE Wales produce, chefs and eateries.

Designed and developed in collaboration with Cygnets’ regular diners and locals from The Swan Inn, the Great Pontfadog Oak Cygneture Burger is genuinely unique – hey, where else can you find bacon smoked over 1,200 year old shavings from the legendary Pontfadog Oak, served up on a platter fashioned from this iconic tree? Exactly!

Feedback from the mystery diners sent in by Destination Wrexham will determine whether Max’s burger will make it to the final, where the top three highest scoring burgers will battle it out for the privilege of becoming Wrexham’s best burger and the ‘taste of NE Wales’ on St. David’s Day.
